This cozy coastal home, designed by “People of Design” , features a warm, natural design with an emphasis on light colors and organic textures. Located in La Vista North Ras El Hekma, Egypt, the open-concept living area flows effortlessly into the kitchen, forming a welcoming and spacious environment.

A living room showcases a soft, neutral palette with beige walls and light seating. An oversized sofa with plush pillows enhances the cozy vibe, while sheer curtains and a large glass door flood the space with natural light. A geometric woven rug and minimalist wall art framed in light wood complete the look.

The kitchen continues the earthy, coastal theme, with wood taking center stage in both the cabinets and the dining furniture. The cabinetry showcases a clean, modern design with woven cane panels, bringing texture and a beach-like atmosphere to the room.

A matte gray, rounded dining table, paired with light wood chairs featuring woven straw seats, creates a comfortable dining nook that balances modern style with a coastal flair. The countertops and splashback are minimalist and white, keeping the look fresh and uncluttered. Pops of green and yellow from the plants and fruit add life to the kitchen’s natural tones.

The corridor leading to the living area and rooms is an artful extension of the coastal theme. A simple, textured artwork in beige and cream hues hangs over a smooth wooden console. Decorative items, such as a circular ceramic sculpture, a delicate hourglass, and a bottle-shaped vase with dried pampas grass, offer a minimalist yet natural touch. The palette continues in this space with soft beiges and warm woods, maintaining a cohesive, tranquil ambiance throughout the house.

The master bedroom is designed with a calm and understated elegance, using a palette of soft neutral tones like beige, cream, and light gray to create a peaceful atmosphere. The use of natural materials, particularly the light wood seen in the bed frame, wardrobe, and dresser, brings warmth to the space while emphasizing simplicity and comfort. The rattan or wicker accents on the wardrobe and pendant light add texture and a subtle bohemian flair.

This is further highlighted by the large macramé wall hanging above the bed, which serves as a focal point, enhancing the room’s relaxed, earthy vibe. With its minimalistic décor and soft textiles, the room exudes a sense of tranquility and understated luxury, making it an ideal retreat.

In contrast, the kids’ room takes on a lively yet simple nautical theme. The room features a white bunk bed with clean lines and sturdy construction, paired with navy blue bedding that adds a vibrant touch of color to the otherwise neutral space. The maritime inspiration is reinforced through playful décor elements like the ship’s wheel and anchor, which not only add character but also make the room feel more engaging for children

Despite its youthful theme, the room maintains a minimalist design, with a focus on functionality and clean aesthetics. The nautical colors and accents make the room feel fresh and adventurous, while still aligning with the overall home’s serene and cohesive style.

The guest room continues the soft, neutral palette seen throughout the home, creating a tranquil and inviting space. The light beige walls and minimal decor maintain a serene atmosphere, while the bed is dressed in textured linens and accented with patterned cushions, adding warmth.

A small, round light fixture beside the bed, set on a wood shelf, provides a soft, ambient glow, enhancing the room’s cozy feel. The framed artwork above the bed, simple yet elegant, mirrors the natural tones, contributing to the room’s quiet elegance and overall harmonious design.

Custom-made wardrobe enhances the room’s character with its light wood finish and semi-sheer fabric panels, adding texture without overwhelming the space.

The wardrobe handles are a notable feature, with delicate blue floral patterns hand-painted on ceramic knobs, bringing a subtle artistic charm that complements the room’s tranquil mood. These thoughtful details reinforce the overall warm and minimalist ambiance.
