Arkan Cinema, designed by MF Associates and branded as “CIMA,” offers a nostalgic journey that begins the moment you approach the cinema.

The architectural expression of the space combines technology with classic theater elements, creating an experience that is as much a tribute to the golden age of cinema as it is a celebration of contemporary design. From vintage-inspired light fixtures to retro movie posters, the cinema artfully merges the technology of modern screens with wooden and Art Deco touches, evoking memories of past cinematic grandeur while delivering a fresh, thrilling ambiance.

Inside, the design is both alluring and captivating, intended to trigger a range of emotions, from euphoria to enlightenment. Vertical wooden slats line the walls, infusing the space with warmth and depth, while metallic and glass accents add a sleek, contemporary edge.

The flooring, in shades of beige and soft green, creates a calming foundation that harmonizes with the earthy, Art Deco-inspired palette. Plush velvet seating in deep green enhances the luxurious, inviting feel of the space, making guests feel at home as they embark on their cinematic journey. Every material and color choice was thoughtfully selected to heighten the sensory experience, drawing visitors into a world that feels adventurous and exhilarating.

Lighting plays a key role in setting the cinema’s thrilling atmosphere. Along the escalator, rows of warm, orange-hued vintage lights form a dramatic centerpiece, conjuring the glamour of classic theaters, while overhead LED strips in the lobby guide guests toward the concession stand and ticket counters.

Retro movie posters—Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Titanic, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania—line the walls, bridging the past and present and adding to the cinema’s captivating allure. Together, these elements create a space that is both a cinematic and architectural masterpiece, designed to immerse visitors in an experience that is as enlightening as it is adventurous, honoring the art of film in an environment that feels both timeless and thrilling.
